Installation of New Water Source Heat Pump, Waitrose Longfield

Client: Waitrose
Location: Longfield
Value: £245,000
Programme: 6 Weeks

MJ Electrical Services undertook the Mechanical and Electrical project to install a new water source heat pump at the Waitrose Longfield store.

The works undertaken involved the installation and introduction of a new water source heat pump, which was installed externally on the roof, to act as lead on the LTHW system.

New low loss header, pumps and also domestic hot water cylinder were installed as part of the works.

The BMS system was modified to incorporate the new strategy.

The works interfaced with the existing water cooled system, heating and domestic hot water systems. Downtime of these systems was required to be kept to an absolute minimum to prevent disruption to the operation of the store. As such, all works were undertaken overnight and on a Sunday to maximise the working period.
