One of MJ Electrical Services’ key objectives last year was to strengthen and elevate our health and safety standards across the business.
To support this, Darren Scholes joined MJ Electrical Services as our Health & Safety Manager in August 2025, bringing over 15 years of experience in senior health and safety roles. Darren oversees all aspects of health and safety across the business, leading and supporting our teams to drive strong operational performance and safe service delivery across all sectors we work in.
He holds a range of Health & Safety qualifications and accreditations, including Technical Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH), recognising his competence in operational health and safety management.
Having Darren manage health and safety in-house enables us to go beyond compliance, embedding safer working practices across the business. This includes regular site visits, toolbox talks, team engagement, ongoing guidance, and in-house invigilation of ECS Health & Safety Assessments.
Darren also leads our programme of continuous improvement, overseeing audits, investigations, policy reviews, and the implementation of improvements, alongside managing ongoing and task-specific training such as IPAF and PASMA.
Darren’s leadership continues to play a key role in strengthening our safety culture, supporting our teams, and ensuring the highest standards across all areas of the business. His proactive approach helps us create a safer, healthier working environment for our people while reinforcing our commitment to excellence for our clients.
