MJ Electrical Services completed a full electrical fit out of a new three-storey medical centre facility. The new medical centre building has an eco-friendly design to minimise energy use and incorporates an onsite pharmacy, minor operations service and as well as the practice’s full range of primary care services and clinics.

Summerfield Health Centre was created to become part of an integrated hub of core community services to the town. A Community Centre and Library were both part of the overall original site and these amenities remained in full use during the construction of the medical centre along with the car parking facilities.

This project involved liaising with UKPN on the install of a new 117KVA – 415V building supply fed from a new transformer. With environmental sustainability a key element of the project, a new PV solar panel system was installed, as well as new internal LED lighting with emergency integration system installed with control via presence detectors in corridors and local switching within the office and theatre rooms to allow for energy saving. New external wall and car park lighting with smart built in day light sensors and presence detection was also installed as well as EV chargers for staff and visitor vehicle parking. These conscious eco-friendly installations enable the building to service the community with minimal environmental impact and ensures sustainably for many years to come.
