Health & Safety

Health and safety is central to what we do and is driven by a genuine care and interest in health, safety and welfare.
We strongly believe that health and safety is not just about paperwork and box ticking. The nucleus of a safe working environment is common sense, ownership, responsibility and communication. At MJ Electrical Services this is embedded in us all.We have found that by taking a proactive approach to health and safety, rather than simply complying with the law, our employees are more committed and engaged with their work, which in turn is linked to better health and well-being.

We are very proud to maintain enviable high standards throughout our business and have made a commitment to constantly raise our standards of health and safety.

To this end we are currently accredited by CHAS, Constructionline, and Safecontractor who are some of the UK’s leading health and safety, procurement and supply chain management assessors and employ rigorous assessment criteria and vetting processes.

Managing our requirements in house allows us to not only comply with regulatory standards but to fully promote and implement safer practices for a healthier environment for all staff.

We also have in house Invigilation for ECS Health & Safety Assessments to ensure that all employees meet the required health and safety standards.

There is a programme of continuous improvement for site staff to ensure that all have the necessary health and safety training and we have invested heavily in additional task specific training such as IPAF and PASMA.

To help us manage our health and safety responsibilities we also employ the services of The Health and Safety People.
